You can jointly apply with husband's name. Both your incomes would be counted anyway. The 1st name can be your husbands name. Please see.. Your wife and yourself, income should form one categeory of application and should proof the total income as per the categeory applied. Your son's income forms the 2nd income categeory and should prove individually his income for the categeory. i meant to say you can club income of husband and wife if u want to apply individually. Son's application would be based on only his income if without any joint applicant.

The present accomodation if in mumbai and you or your spouse are the owner than you will not be eligible to apply in mumbai. If you have no intention of staying in the MHADA accomodamotion you will not be allowed to buy as MHADA takes the undertaking that you would be residing in the flat you win by lottery.25 years of stay would come with proof of domicile. Multiple application in other scheme is ok.

Sir ,
I live in Pune And I am planning to apply only from an investment prospective in the HIG category .... There are three questions
1) Which are the best schemes under the HIG category (More value for Money from Investors point of View) assuming you have a better idea of the prevalent rates in Powai and Borivalli and their difference with the quoted Mhada rates.
2) What are the resrictions from investors point of view .ie. Can we give it on rent......... Can we sell it ..... After How much time are we allowed to sell the flat.
3) Also how is the construction quality of Mhada .
Reply
Replies Ganesh Punjabi May 12, 2012 10:16 PM
You have to provide a undertaking to mhada what u would be residing in the bought premises. You can't sell/rent it for minimum 5 years as of now and no other person other the person applying can stay in the flat.MHADA also take the photograph of the family that would be residing the alloted flats. All flats sold by MHADA are at discounted price as speicified earlier, as it is scheme of the government to provide the homes to the needy.

If you receive the allotment of the flat .... can you later on withdraw the application due to to an unforeseen circumstance.... or May be you do not like the allotted flat .

You can surely withdraw the application and not take the allotment of flat. But i guess your earnest amount(amount paid by way dd as application amount) would be forfeited or partly refunded. for more information please call MHADA helpdesk nos.

I fall in HIG category and have been staying on rent since 2002, which means only since 10 years - would my domicile make me eligible somehow? I have completed my graduation and post graduation from Mumbai University and hence do need a place of my own to stay. I do not belong to Mumbai but have a job which needs me to stay here permanently. Am I eligible for this scheme? If 15 years is minimum, is there a work-around, somehow I can fall in this category coz I REALLY NEED A HOUSE OF MY OWN to stay. Can you please help with some suggestions to become eligible?

You have to be 20 years in any city/town in maharashtra, which can be relaxed upto 15 years to be eligible for the draw.

No, none of applicant has to own a house in Mumbai to eligible for the Mumbai draw. But they can apply in the konkan draw for if the income criteria meets. Joint Applicants both should not own a Home, single applicant his/her spouse must not own a home his/her name.

What about the refund of the DD Amount for the ones who have not made it to the the lottery list. I have heard it takes almost a year, last years applicants have still not received their monies, is that true? Also would there be any deductions, since you have not won the lottery?

You would be drawing some salary previous to this job. if no form 16 you can furnish income tax returns to prove your income. Also your application is based on the total average income between 1/4/2011 to 31/3/2012. For this year you can provide your payslips and last year the form 16 for 8-9 months.

HRA is excluded if it is part of the payslip or included in the CTC by the company. Travel and conveyenance, laundry charges, if paid seperately by the company should not be counted as income.

For income of 25k you would be eligible for MIG only. If your gross income contains the HRA or travel allowance you can reduce it. If by reducing all that your income goes below 20k, than only you would be eligible for applying in LIG otherwise not.

If you are married your mom and dad should not be owning a house in either of their names.
You would be eligible in this case with the above conditions.

My mom and dad dont own house in Mumbai but in Kalyan.
My question was can they apply two separate forms under General Public category, 273 Powai under HIG sceme as separate individuals?
Or their total income will be considered as one entity under total family income ans so they cant apply separately?
