Calculate the total donations you have made towards various institutions in accordance to Income Tax Rules.

Step III : Savings
Calculate your total savings. This may include all the savings and investments mentioned inIncome Tax Saving Schemes Sections.

Step IV : Taxable Income Follow the following rule to calculate your taxable income

When you have calculated your taxable income, refer to the following slabs to calculate your Income Tax accordingly. Choose the slab according to your income and calculate your Income tax.

Income tax slabs 2011-2012 (for Men) in India:

The threshold income tax exemption limit for men has been revised to Rs 1,80,000 than the previous limit of Rs 1,60,000.There will be a minimum saving of Rs 2000 in income tax than previous year.

Income tax slabs 2011-2012 (for Women) in India:

When the government charges a fee on a product, income or activity to be used to finance government expenditure gets known as tax. Government imposes two kinds of taxes :
Direct tax- tax levied on personal or corporate income
Indirect tax- tax levied on price of a good or service
Public goods and services are provided by government and quasi-government agencies which tend to finance themselves largely through taxes.
There is no change in tax structure for women.

Income tax slabs 2011-2012 (for Senior Citizens) in India:
A new income tax bracket for senior citizens has been introduced which are above eighty years of age. The tax exemption limit to senior citizens above 80 of age has been increased to Rs. five lakhs from the existing 2.4 lakhs. For senior citizens between 60 to 80 years the tax exemption limit has been revised to Rs 2,50,000 from Rs 2,40,000 thus an increase of Rs 10,000 only. The senior citizen age has also been reduced to 60 years from 64 years.

A. Aakash and UbiSlate7 are names of the same product. Aakash is the name given by the Government of India and it is procuring quantities to deliver to students across India at a subsidized price. UbiSlate7 is the name for the commercial version made available for all.
UbiSlate7+ is the next generation of UbiSlate7/Aakash which comes with upgraded features.

Q. How do you connect to the internet on Ubislate7 and Ubislate7+?

A. You can connect to the internet using WiFi at any hotspot with Ubislate7/Aakash. Ubislate7+ gives the added option to connect to the internet anywhere using GPRS with a SIM card, along with the option to connect via WiFi at a hotspot. A monthly plan of Rs.99/- for 2GB of data usage will also be made available to customers.

Q. Does Ubislate7 or Ubislate7+support SIM and can be used to make phone calls?

A. Ubislate7+ will have a GPRS module ensuring SIM and phone functionality and can be used to make phone calls. Ubislate7/Aakash does not support SIM and phone functionality.

Q. Will both the versions have a resistive screen?

A. Yes. Both Ubislate7 and Ubislate7+ have resistive screens.

Q. Is there any warranty available for Aakash/Ubislate7 and Ubislate7+?

A. Yes. One year warranty on all products.

Q. Are there cameras installed on Ubislate7 or Ubslate7+?

A. No cameras are pre-installed in any device.

Q. Which App Store will come pre-installed on Ubislate7 and Ubislate7+?

Q. What is the expected delivery timeline for Aakash/Ubislate7?

A. Aakash/Ubislate7 devices are being delivered right now to customers, based on the order of their pre-booking. Datawind will continue to deliver to customers till stocks run out. If you have ordered an Aakash and have not received a delivery yet, please wait for Datawind to contact you via email/phone in the order your order was received. We expect to complete this process through the month of January.

Q. How much time would it take to deliver Aakash/Ubislate7 once the online payment is made by the user?

A. 5-7 business days. In case the shipment is late they should contact the numbers in the confirmation emails.

Q. When is Ubislate7+ expected to be launched and made available to customers?

A. The current expected launch date is late January 2012. The deliveries will begin to customers based on the order in which they ordered Ubislate7+ online. Everyone who ordered online will be contacted by us and offered to complete their purchases.

Q. What is the expected delivery timeline for Ubislate7+?

A. You don't need to book again. These current bookings will be used to deliver the devices to customers in the order their bookings were received.

A. You do not have to do anything. When you are contacted by Datawind, with an offer to pay for your delivery, you can choose to decline the offer.

Q. Will students get a discount? How will you determine if someone is a student?

A. This sale is for wider public and not for ‘students only’. The Government has a program to distribute Aakash tablets to the student community at a subsidized rate. Students should wait for the government to announce the distribution details for that program.

Q. Do we have any information about the concession that the students are getting on Aakash tablet? When and from where can we get this concession?

A. Datawind does not have that information. Students should contact their educational institutions or the government for more information on that. The subsidy for students is proposed by the government through its own distribution channels.

Q. Are there any service centers for the tablet? In case yes, where would they be located?

A. Customers can contact the 'Technical Customer Support' number for any issues/help with the tablets. You’ll find these numbers in the device packaging after you receive it. If the issue cannot be resolved over the phone, the customers can take it to our partner customer service center locations, located all over India. Position 1
Place your hands together over the eyes. Cup your hands gently so that the palms do not touch the eyes, which can be uncomfortable for the client. Rest the base of your hands on the forehead, and allow the tip of your fingers to rest very lightly on the cheeks. If your hands start to sweat put a cloth or paper tissue above the eyes.

Cup your hands gently around each ear.

MHADA Housing Information (Frequently Asked Questions)

Q 1 .Give brief information about Maharashtra Housing & Area Development Authority.

Ans. Government of Maharashtra founded Maharashtra Housing & Area Development Authority (MHADA) by passing an enactment to carry out the works of housing and Area Development across the state. There are nine regional boards under the jurisdiction of the Authority namely- Mumbai Housing and Area Development Board, Mumbai Buildings Repair and Reconstruction Board, Slum Improvement Board, Konkan Board, besides Pune, Nashik, Nagpur, Aurangabad and Amravati are the regional boards
The jurisdiction of Mumbai Housing and area Development Board is limited upto Dahisar and Mulund.
The regional board shares the responsibility of works like Housing , development of the land, distribution /allotment of tenements or plots , maintenance, transfer of tenancy and lease agreement, and sale of deed i.e. conveyance of societies and other as per the provisions in the Authority's act of 1976 and as per the provision made in regulation in 1981 by the state Government (and the changes made from time to time herein).

Q 2.How to and where to apply to get the possession of tenement or developed plot of the housing Boards ?

Ans: The tenements /houses constructed by MHADA (Estate Management , selling,Conveyance, Transfer of tenements) are sold under provisions of Regulation 1981 by giving advertisement in the Newspaper by inviting applications. In the advertisement an appeal is made to public to buy the printed application forms in prescribed format by MHADA and submit them in given time.

Q 3. After the application how the tenements or plots are distributed?

Ans : After the acceptance of application forms, scrutiny of the forms is done to check the first hand eligibility of the applicant and after that a date is declared through the newspapers for the lottery.

Q 4. Has Authority appointed any agents or brokers to sell its tenements ?

Ans : No. Authority has not appointed any broker or agents to sell the tenements constructed by the Mumbai Housing and area Development Board. The marketing department of the board is capable and well equipped with sufficient staff and machinary. To sell the houses constructed by the boards, it takes help of certain Banks to sell and accept the application form from the public at its various branches. All the changes from time to time are made to public through advertisements.

Q. 5. Can I apply at any time to get the flat?

Ans: No You can not. Because to sell the flats available with MHADA, an advertisement is given in the newspaper which will give all the details( kindly refer to Q. 2 for details.)

Q. 6. Can Husband and wife apply for the house separately?

Ans: Husband and wife has freedom to apply separately and in more than one code numbers on certain terms and conditions. The couple has to declare their respective earnings in the application forms. If the wife is not earning then she can apply independently for the house by declaring the income of her husband. But if the husband and wife are selected in the lottery at both the places, they can be allotted only one flat from the lottery. The applicant has to surrender one of the flats to the Authority. Else the authority will take back/confiscate all the property allotted by it and legally sue the applicant as per the procedure.

Q.7. What are the income limitations for applying for these flats.

Ans: The Authority has set certain limitation for the allotment of its tenements. Before the allotment of the tenements the applicant's income is at first taken into consideration. The authority has decided three income groups -- LIG, MIG and HIG .
The income limitation for these categories are as follows.

A)	Economically Weaker Section	Below Rs. 8000 /-
B)	Lower Income Group	Between-Rs.8,001/- to Rs. 12,000/-
C)	Middle Income Group	Between-Rs.12,001/- to Rs. 20,000/-
D)	Higher Income Group	Between- Rs.20,001/- and above

Q. 8. Do we need to pay any amount and any document along with the application form?

Ans: The applicant is not suppose to submit any document along with the application form but he/she will have to pay an amount called EMD. The details of the EMD would be mentioned in the advertisement and the information booklet, which will be given along with the application form.

Q 9. When and what documents are required to be submitted to get the allotment of the flat.?

Ans: A successful applicant in the lottery system, will receive an intimation letter wherein the list of documents will be mentioned. The applicant is asked to submit these documents to fix his/her eligibility. The list documents is as follows"

Domicile Certificate
Income Certificate
Affidavit for income(self employed who are not paying IT)
Affidavit of Income of Spouse(Incase of joint application)
Affidavit for income in addition to the income from employment
Birth Certificate / School Leaving Certificate / Election Card.

Q. 10. Who can apply for the MHADA's tenements?

Ans: The applicant who wants to apply for the tenements of the MHADA should fulfill following criterion :

.Applicant’s age shall be more than 18 years
Applicant shall obtain Domicile Certificate from Competent Authority.
Applicant or his spouse should not own a residential property in his /her name in the Jurisdiction of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.

Q. 11. How the Successful candidate in the lottery gets the flat?

Ans: When the lottery is declared, the successful applicant receives intimation letter according to which , the applicant has to submit documents asked in the letter. The MHADA, on the basis of those document fixes the eligibility of the Applicant.

Q. 12. What all elements are included in the monthly installments after the Allotment of the flat?

Ans : If the tenement is allotted on the lease rent basis then following elements are prominently included equal installments on remaining amount

Land rent
Civic tax

Service tax
- water Rates
- extra expences on water supply like water pump
- cleanliness and sweeping
- street lighting

Q. 13. Does the housing board has any reservations while allotting flats?

Ans: The authority constructing houses for all strata of society on social housing concept, definitely has reservation quotas as follows :

While there may be views and counterviews whether QUICK GUN MURUGAN thrives on the notion of slang that define an identity, subtly enough it has emerged as the first film that brings into relief the classification of the identities into categories based on the kind of foods that one consumes. It is the Non-vegetarian vs. vegetarian theme that has been subtly used in QUICK GUN MURUGAN as the platform to emphasize that the Indian ideas and beliefs still continue to be defined by the wheat eaters and rice eaters. Ananat Mahadevan would be mightily pleased that he was the first person who brought out this distinction in a comical manner when he made his Television series / serial 'Ghar Jamai' more than 20 years ago.
Interestingly enough, QUICK GUN MURUGAN has one more first to its credit as being the first film in Indian history, where an idea that flourished on television finds being converted into a full-length feature film. It indeed is amazing that though we are nations of such big foodies we have not used it as a subject in serious manner in a story line. Whenever food has been used in the Indian context it is more to generate the idea of comedy which is not a fitting tribute to the importance of food in our real life. Still, QUICK GUN MURUGAN provides an opportunity to rewind and try to bring into relief the films which have used food as a subject in a subtle manner to generate moments of comic relief or otherwise.
CHANDNI CHOWK TO CHINA: Akshay Kumar as a cook in a restaurant in Chandni Chowk uses his skills of vegetable chopping to vanquish the villain when all his other skills fail. Portrayal of villain as a big potato that had to be shredded was an interesting innovation of the film.
DUPLICATE: Shah Rukh Khan as a cook chopping vegetables in a kitchen of a five star restaurant was probably the film where a song was written on the virtues of the vegetables.
HUM DIL DE CHUKE SANAM: This film that has been one of the landmarks of the Indian cinema was also one of the films was elaborate ritual of Gujarati food was laid out in exquisite details and there was all seriousness in presenting the cuisine without introduction of any comic element associated with the food.
NASEEB: Man Mohan Desai had experimented with generating laughter by using the different items of cuisine in a big way in this film and it was probably for the first time that a situation woven around the different items of food inside a five star restaurant was knitted into an elaborate comic situation. NASEEB also probably started the trend of throwing cakes upon one another and Charlie Chaplin must be thanked as he was the originator in all probability of bringing into vogue throwing of cake to generate comic situations.
BOMBAY TO GOA: This madcap had underlined how the food inside an eating joint can be used to generate a comic situation as a laugh riot was created build around food and could have been the precursor for transporting this situation into a five star hotel as was done by Man Mohan Desai in NASEEB.
ROTI: Man Mohan Desai used the generic nomenclature of food to underline the importance that ROTI has in real life and to the extents that an individual has to go to earn the same. Manoj Kumar also tried to do the same with ROTI KAPDA AUR MAKAAN.
LOVE KHICHDI: As the name suggests this Randeep Hooda film is also the latest addition on looking at the business of food making, and it would be interesting to find whether the staple diet of the country - Khichdi - finds its representation through LOVE KHICHDI in an impacted manner.

Combine your breath with your step, see the blue of the sky, the green of the grass, appreciate the colours of the flowers and hear the sweet birdsong... acknowledge and enjoy the miracle that is nature,'' says the 82-year-old monk.
He adds that walking can be a fine form of meditation. "Leave the past behind with every step you take forward. You are no longer a victim of sorrow and regret or fear and uncertainty. Walk confidently in the present without worrying about being stuck in the past or sucked into the future,'' suggests Thay. The practice of walking silently is about freedom and solidity. "We are present with each step. And, when we wish to talk, we stop our movement and give full attention to the other person, to our words and to listening.'' But, before you think walking together for peace is a protest or a demonstration, Thay explains, "The collective energy of a group ensures each step is solid and free. There is no protest here, no banners... just a powerful, noble silence that urges you to rejoice at the miracle of life. Every step on this earth is a miracle, every step in meditation leads to health and happiness. And when people of different faiths enjoy the process of walking together without any agenda, that, in itself, is a great offering.''

Fever
Fever is rare with a cold.

What is swine flu?
Swine Influenza (swine flu) is a respiratory disease of pigs caused by Type A influenza viruses that causes regular outbreaks in pigs.

Swine flu viruses have been reported to spread from person-to-person, but in the past, this transmission was limited and not sustained beyond three people.

Is the current swine flu virus contagious?
Various international agencies (US Centers for Disease Control & Prevention, World Health Organization) have determined that this swine influenza A (H1N1) virus is contagious and is spreading from human to human.

WHO has escalated the world Pandemic Phase from Phase 3 to Phase 6 (in a 6-scale Phase), indicating that a worldwide pandemic due to swine flu H1N1.

What are the signs and symptoms of swine flu in people?
The symptoms of swine flu in people are similar to the symptoms of regular human flu and include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue.

Some people have reported diarrhea and vomiting associated with swine flu. In the past, severe illness (pneumonia and respiratory failure) and deaths have been reported with swine flu infection in people.

Like seasonal flu, swine flu may cause a worsening of underlying chronic medical conditions.

How does swine flu spread?
Spread of this swine influenza A (H1N1) virus is thought to be happening in the same way that seasonal flu spreads.

Flu viruses are spread mainly from person to person through coughing or sneezing of people with influenza.

Sometimes people may become infected by touching something with live flu viruses on it and then touching their mouth or nose.

How are human infections with swine influenza diagnosed?
To diagnose swine influenza A infection, a respiratory specimen would generally need to be collected within the first 4 to 5 days of illness (when an infected person is most likely to be shedding virus).

However, some persons, especially children, may shed virus for 10 days or longer.

Identification as a swine flu influenza A virus requires sending the specimen to a hospital laboratory for testing.

How can someone with the flu infect someone else?
Infected people may be able to infect others beginning 1 day before symptoms develop and up to 7 or more days after becoming sick.

That means that you may be able to pass on the flu to someone else before you know you are sick, as well as while you are sick.

How long can an infected person spread swine flu to others?
People with swine influenza virus infection should be considered potentially contagious as long as they are symptomatic and possible for up to 7 days following illness onset.

Children, especially younger children, might potentially be contagious for longer periods.
Is there a vaccine for Pandemic Flu?
Because the virus is new, there will be no vaccine ready to protect against pandemic flu.

Vaccine against Swine Flu virus H1N1 needs at least 6-12 months to be produced.

Seasonal flu vaccine or past flu immunization will not provide protection.
Are there medicines to treat swine flu?
Yes. The US CDC recommends the use of oseltamivir (Tamiflu®) or zanamivir (Relenza®) for the treatment and/or prevention of infection with these swine influenza viruses.

Antiviral drugs are prescription medicines (pills, liquid or an inhaler) that fight against the flu by keeping flu viruses from reproducing in your body.

If you get sick, antiviral drugs can make your illness milder and make you feel better faster. They may also prevent serious flu complications.

For treatment, antiviral drugs work best if started soon after getting sick (within 2 days of symptoms).
What surfaces are most likely to be sources of contamination?
The virus can be spread when a person touches something that is contaminated with the virus and then touches his or her eyes, nose, or mouth.

Droplets from a cough or sneeze of an infected person move through the air. The virus can then be spread when a person touches respiratory droplets from another person on a surface like a desk, doorknob, child’s toy or phone handset and then touches their own eyes, mouth or nose before washing their hands.
How long can viruses live outside the body?
We know that some viruses and bacteria can live 2 hours or longer on surfaces like cafeteria tables, doorknobs, and desks.

Frequent handwashing will help you reduce the chance of getting contamination from these common surfaces.
What can I do to protect myself from getting sick?

Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.

Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also effective.

Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. The virus can spread this way.

Try to avoid close contact with sick people.

If you get sick with influenza, stay home from work or school and limit contact with others to keep from infecting them.

What is the best way to keep from spreading the virus through coughing or sneezing?
If you are sick, limit your contact with other people as much as possible. Do not go to work or school if ill.

Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing. It may prevent those around you from getting sick. Put your used tissue in the waste basket.

Cover your cough or sneeze if you do not have a tissue. Then, clean your hands, and do so every time you cough or sneeze.
What is the best technique for washing my hands to avoid getting the flu?
Washing your hands often will help protect you from germs. Wash with soap and water or clean with alcohol-based hand cleaner.

When you wash your hands -- with soap and warm water -- that you wash for 15 to 20 seconds. When soap and water are not available, alcohol-based disposable hand wipes or gel sanitizers may be used. You can find them in most supermarkets and drugstores.

If using gel, rub your hands until the gel is dry. The gel doesn't need water to work; the alcohol in it kills the germs on your hands.
What should I do if I get sick?
If you live in areas where swine influenza cases have been identified and become ill with influenza-like symptoms, including fever, body aches, runny nose, sore throat, nausea, or vomiting or diarrhea, you may want to contact their health care provider, particularly if you are worried about your symptoms. Your health care provider will determine whether influenza testing or treatment is needed.

If you are sick, you should stay home and avoid contact with other people as much as possible to keep from spreading your illness to others.

If you become ill and experience any of the following warning signs (next 2 slides), seek emergency medical care.

In children emergency warning signs that need urgent medical attention include:
Fast breathing or trouble breathing
Bluish skin color
Not drinking enough fluids
Not waking up or not interacting
Being so irritable that the child does not want to be held
Flu-like symptoms improve but then return with fever and worse cough
Fever with a rash

In adults, emergency warning signs that need urgent medical attention include:
Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath

Can people catch swine flu from eating pork?
No. Swine influenza viruses are not transmitted by food. You can not get swine influenza from eating pork or pork products. Eating properly handled and cooked pork and pork products is safe.

Cooking pork to an internal temperature of 160°F (72°C) kills the swine flu virus as it does other bacteria and viruses.

Household Cleaning, Laundry, and Waste Disposal

Throw away tissues and other disposable items used by the sick person in the trash. Wash your hands after touching used tissues and similar waste.

Keep surfaces (esp bedside tables, surfaces in the bathroom, children’s toys, phone handles, doorknobs) clean by wiping them down with a household disinfectant according to directions on the product label.

Linens, eating utensils, and dishes belonging to those who are sick do not need to be cleaned separately, but importantly these items should not be shared without washing thoroughly first.

Wash linens (such as bed sheets and towels) by using household laundry soap and tumble dry on a hot setting. Avoid “hugging” laundry prior to washing it to prevent contaminating yourself. Clean your hands with soap and water or alcohol-based hand rub right after handling dirty laundry.

Eating utensils should be washed either in a dishwasher or by hand with water and soap.
